An impression of a beautiful Brittany estuary – painted in subtle hues. I commenced this painting on the beach on a tidal estuary in Brittany, whilst on an painting holiday with a couple of my local artist friends, in September 2018. My frustration of getting sand in my paint soon vanished as I enjoyed the texture that it was giving the image. It also meant that it really was a Brittany painting, incorporating the landscape in more than one form! View ‘Low Tide’ in my Shop.
Based on force of tidal races depicted in glorious blues. This painting is my attempt to capture the force of the water ,as it rushes into a Ria estuary. The power of the water is awe inspiring but can also remind you of the frailty of humans compared to nature. A mixed media work. SOLD
